On March 21st 2023, Conor swiped right and asked Bridget if “Kirby (Smart) is the new Saban”…being the die hard Alabama football fan she is, this immediately peaked her interest! Their banter flowed from the start, but after many cancelled dates, Bridget let Conor know she needed more time to work physically, mentally, and spiritually on herself before her heart was fully ready to date. Not expecting to hear from Conor again, he replied with the most heart felt and genuine text that gave her a glimpse of the man he is. Bridget immediately screenshot the text and sent it to one of her best friends, Taylor, and said something along the lines of “Dang. He is a good one, but I’m doing what I need to do!”

Seven months later, Taylor and Bridget were at dinner when the idea of dating was mentioned and Bridget expressed she was ready! With excitement, Taylor asked “What about that guy who sent you the really sweet text when you shared you weren’t ready yet?” The wheels were turning as Bridget remembered their effortless conversations shared via text, but wasn’t sure how she could reach him again…until they realized the slight chance Taylor may still have the screenshot Bridget sent her months ago that had Conor’s phone number. Good news: she had the screenshot! Sitting at dinner, unknowingly just blocks away from where Conor was living, Bridget sent him a text and asked if he would want to finally meet for that beer. On November 1st, they went on their first date to Poco Fiasco and the rest is history. As they grew closer and got to know each other’s hearts, interests, aspirations, and dreams, it became apparent that they were in deed, each other’s lobsters :)

Over the last almost two years, Bridget and Conor have spent quality time in each others special places with their families and have gotten to share many memories with close friends.

On July 3rd, 2025 Conor lead Bridget back to the tree at The Lodge at Sea Island where she had spent many sunsets praying for her future husband and to prepare her heart for him. It came full circle when he got on one knee and made her the happiest girl in the world! Now, they are eager to be married under the eyes of God surrounded by their loved ones and get to start their lives as husband and wife!
